Dear Parents,
A relatively new feature of School Bytes is the App for phones - flyer attached, and the Push notifications (like an alert that gets sent straight to you instead of emailed).
In order to receive these, please read this information:
- Is a push notification another name for a group email? - A push notification is not an email and does not get sent to your emails. It is an alert that will appear on your mobile phone.
- Do parents need to have the app to receive push notifications? - Yes, parents need the app for push notifications to be activated.
- How do parents activate push notifications? - Push notifications will automatically activate when you download the School Bytes app. If you have accidentally turned off the notifications, this can be changed in two places:
- On your phone – Settings → Notifications → find School Bytes in the list and make sure notifications are turned on
- In the app – Settings → make sure notifications are turned on here
PLEASE NOTE: These push notifications are replacing Skoolbag push notifications regarding upcoming events, activities or general news. Skoolbag is no longer in use.
