Local enrolment area
Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.
How to enrol
If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.
If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.
Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.
Enrolment applications are finalised at the school.

Additional learning and support needs - If your child has additional learning and support needs, contact your local school principal as soon as possible, before applying out-of-area. Read more about inclusive learning support.
Will the school have a place for my child? - Our school has reached its enrolment cap. As per the department’s policy, we are not considering out-of-area applications unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Our enrolment cap has been set to support student wellbeing, quality education and avoid overcrowding.
Assessing applications - We consider applications that meet one or more of the following criteria.
Criteria we prioritise:
- Learning and wellbeing needs requiring reasonable adjustments and/or additional education support, including cultural considerations, disability, developmental age, trauma, child protection concerns, medical and individual needs and circumstances
- Sibling currently attending the school
Criteria we consider:
- Parent or carer works at the school
- Other considerations
We will not consider the following:
Student ability, performance or achievement, as described in the department's enrolment policy.
For specialist settings only: Student ability, performance or achievement in the school’s specialisation may be considered.
When are applications assessed? - We will assess your application within 10 school days and contact you. School holiday periods may increase assessment times.
Information exchange between schools - Schools exchange information about online and paper out-of-area applications to assist in planning and student care.
We may share your child's application with:
- the NSW Government school they currently attend
- your local NSW Government school.
Principals establish an enrolment panel for out-of-area enrolment applications, which includes a community member. The enrolment panel will have access to the information provided in your out-of-area application.
