Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
At St Georges Basin Public School, we are proud to have an active and committed P&C Association that helps strengthen the connection between families, staff, and the wider school community. The P&C plays an important role in supporting school initiatives, fundraising for resources, and providing a forum for parent voice and involvement.
Whether you’d like to stay informed, meet other families, or get involved in school events, the P&C is a great way to contribute and make a meaningful impact.

Join our P&C
Our P&C Association is committed to supporting an inclusive and high-quality public education for every student. We believe parents and carers are key partners in the learning journey and have an important role to play in shaping school life.
All parents, carers and community members are welcome to join. Whether you can attend meetings regularly or support events when you’re available, your involvement is valued.

P&C meetings
P&C meetings are held once per term in the Learning Hub. These are advertised through the school newsletter and on the St Georges Basin Public School P&C Facebook page.
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in November each year.
At our meetings, you’ll hear updates from the principal, teaching staff, P&C members and occasionally external guests. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about school activities, contribute to decision-making and be part of shaping our school community.
We encourage all parents and carers to attend and see how they can support this vital organisation. Your voice matters, and your contribution helps create a stronger, more connected school environment.
